Overview

The New England Venture Capital Association needed an updated look for their website to help them establish their brand as an authority in the entrepreneurial space in Boston. Together with their team, we developed a strategy to strategically position the NEVCA and provide valuable features to its member companies.

Features

  • Unique page customization options via custom WordPress backend.
  • Integrated events plugin.
  • Company and member profiles with search  and filtering capabilities.
  • Featured profiles.
  • Streamlined FAQ.

Challenge

One of our biggest challenges was designing this site to be both dynamic visually and technically. The NEVCA team had only four full-time members when we began our engagement, which meant resources and time were scarce. Because of this, we were challenged to use Wordpress to develop a theme that could allow the team to edit and update every aspect of the site. Even complex sections like their unique program pages.

Mobile

Critical to the NEVCA website redesign was ensuring a consistent and full-featured mobile experience. With a content-heavy website such as NEVCA, we were challenged with displaying the same content in the desktop site in the mobile experience, without causing an exhaustingly long scroll.
